Melissa Mendelson: Melissa is in my 3D Composition class. She is a very focussed artist. When we get off topic, she makes us stay on task. (Which is very helpful) Her blog reflects this. They have a lot of information to them. There are plenty of pictures that help explain her process. Her values are probably craftsmanship, being thorough, being on time, and doing the best that she can do. Reading her blog helps you understand her and her goals better because you get to visually see for yourself what went through her mind and thought process.
Larry Staats: Larry is in my 3D Composition class. His approach to the blog is having fun with it. His titles are hilarious and he writes about his progress in a witty sense. His values are similar. he challenges himself with difficult compositions. Even if they are difficult, you can tell that he enjoyed the process. Reading his blog helps you understand his goals better because he is open to discussion and he strives for success.
Kathy Sherry: Kathy is in my 3D Composition class and is one of the quieter ones. She has very good ideas though. Her blog reflects her quietness. She values simplicity and hard work. Reading her blog helps you understand her goals because of all of her work in progress pictures and essays. You get to see the challenges she went through and what she had to overcome to get to where she finished.
Taylor Egan: Taylor is in my 2D Composition class. Her blog approach has good, overall work in progress posts. Her final work is very detailed and clean. You can tell that she values craftsmanship. Reading her blog helps you understand her goals better because since she doesn’t have too many pictures you have to actually read what she has to say about the project. Some of the points she makes are quite valuable.
Sharra Stannard: Sharra is in my 3D Composition class. She is also very quiet. When she does talk, she has such amazing ideas. They are so elaborate and detailed, that you cannot help but listen. Her work and blog reflect her ideas tremendously. She values precision, consistency, and doing the best that she can. Her blogposts are thorough and inventive. Reading her blog helps you understand her goals better because you can tell that she tries on her projects and she really connects with them.
