Today’s critique was interesting… We were supposed to draw three reflective objects with a distinctive light source. I thought that everyone did really well. The objects had depth to them, reflected objects within the mirrored objects, and highlights. Almost everyone used charcoal. I prefer pencil. I am most familiar with it and it’s in my comfort zone.
Kortney, however, thought that hardly any of us used organizational line. She told us we were a disgrace to the drawing family! (Ok not that far but she was a bit disappointed in us). She told us to continue using organizational line, sighting, measuring, and proportions. We should be using them in every drawing we do from now on. The objects I drew were oddly placed near each other so it was hard to use organizational line. At lease my objects were well received and in proportion. Thank goodness I finally understand how to do this.
